1962 98 steering system

How can I tell which power steering system I have between the Saginaw and the TRW?

Mines in good shape but I'm in the process of collecting parts I can get for the future.

Thanks

Mikeyt,
Joe P travels the globe for his occupation, and is frequently not available immediately…..

But , here is some great news —— scroll down exactly 10 threads to this exact question for someone overseas, who has a 1966 —- and Joe P. put one of those charts in there…..

While the parts are different , that question arises for 1961 - 1962;, 1963 - 1964 , and 1965 - 1968…..

Craig…..

Hey Craig does this look legit?
There is another comapny FCRC that claims to have these.

I still have to determine which I have but they have a part number for the Saginaw also.

That is some outfit up in Canada that probably ordered the wrong one — and is now trying to get rid of it @ $$ 288.00 …..

That is one of the reproductions from the company I told you about out in California… I might have even better than that —- *** N.O.S. *** U.S.A. made *** as I was telling you —- once we determine which set up you have , I will see what I have , what I can get , if you need them , or just simply want to keep them in stock….

I am still in bed , but off the top of my head —- I believe the two 1961 - 1962 Oldsmobile Full Size CENTER LINKS are DS635 and DS710 —- and I think I have both of them….

Yours, Craig….

I couldn't remember if you said you had them or not.
I definitely want one once I figure out which I need. I plan to keep her for a while.
They also claim to have rear control arm bushings for $100, Each!!

Hey Mikeyt,
we never discussed the steering components completely —- so you didn’t have that data….

If that outfit up in Canada has the CORRECT ones , I wonder where they got them reproduced ??? Or , did they do a lot of research on the specifications and find some bushing that has the same specs ?!?!

We know the TRWs and MOOGs of the world , and even Out of Business for 50 years Krizman who made them for G M back in the day !!! N E V E R
E V E R made them….. And even then , will your old Rear End Bushings come out of that assembly easily or at all ?!?!

All aspects T B D ( as in To Be Determined )…..

Yours, Craig…,
