Anybody have problems fitting their dipstick tube when running the thorton 350 exhaust manifolds? I swapped a 307 for a 72 350 in my 84 98 coupe and I had a chrome dipstick tube but it barely fit thru the hole in the manifold which was causing an exhaust leak so I pulled it out and grabbed the dipstick tube from the 307 and put it in and it fit thru the hole better but I had to bend it kinda crazy and now the dipstick won’t make the bend. Can I take a die grinder and grind the not on the manifold out a little bigger to better fit the dipstick tube

 

Even if using gaskets..you gotta grind clearance for it.
