That would probobly be a major poject. Usualy, motors don't interchange between brands easily. It can be done, with most likely a lot of time, money, and fabrication. You would need to make engine mounts, and the transmission won't just bolt right up either. You fuel lines and elctrical will be in the wrong places too.
Another thing is, if your truck is fuelinjected/computer controlled, the new motor most likely won't work with the dodge computer, and if you take out the computer, it won't be street legal.
You best bet would be to just work with the 318. I happen to also be a mopar guy, and trust me, the 318, new or old, is a workable performance engine.

This is a joke, right? What would you need to change? Transmission, frame mounts, motor mounts, accessory brackets, exhaust system, fuel lines, throttle linkage, ... should I go on? NOTHING is common between the two motors. Can this swap be done? Sure, but it will be a completely hand-fabricated custom installation. If you want more power, get a Mopar 360. These motors are plentiful and bolt in place of the 318.
