I have a 1968-70 350 5.7 block, no A/C or heat, what does the hub height of my water pump need to be? Thanks!
Whichever one matches the pulleys and accessory brackets you plan to use.
Sorry, but your question cannot be answered without more info. The pump length needs to match the pulleys and brackets. Any 1964-1990 Olds water pump bolts to any 1964-1990 Olds block.
The length of water pump may also depend on what type of fan you are going to use, you may need a spacer. Depends on what shroud you have as well.
As others mentioned, need more info here.

No, it really doesn't. On an Olds, the pump length MUST match the pulleys and brackets, period. Once you get that to work, THEN you pick the correct fan and (if necessary) spacer.
I do have the old water pump, it is a 6" hub height which I was told was only for with A/C (I do not have A/C). Without A/C is shorter although I do not know the exact hub height (I was told either 5 1/8" or 5 5/8"....although how could there be two different options when the rest of the pulleys are fixed in place?)...anyway, here are the castings from my pulleys:
Water pump - KE (there is also a P on the other side of the front face)
Crank - KS (same deal with the P)
Power Steering - KA
Did not see a casting on the alternator wheel
Also, I've attached pictures of the alternator and Power steering brackets that I am currently using, and pictures of ones that I found might actually be the right ones but cannot confirm for sure (the caption applies to the picture above it):
Alternator: might be the right one Alternator: currently using Powering steering: currently using Power steering (1) : might be the right one Powering steering (2): might be the right one
ok i reread it and same question applies you had a 6" pump if it worked why change you make no mention of misalignment or other problems only that you heard 6" = AC. IDK if thats true.
Im only going on info you've provided and trying to help you out
I guess you could mock up all your pulleys and measure out from the timing cover and see what fits ?
