Valve Cover Bolts

Valve Cover Bolts
I have a 1970 Olds Cutlass 350 with #6 heads. I'm going to be installing Edelbrock valve covers. Will either of these valve cover bolts work? I'm going to use the Edelbrock "Universal" hold-down tabs.

If I use Allen Head Polished Stainless Steel Cap Screws, 1/4"-20, 3/4" length, will those be long enough for the valve covers, hold down tabs and wire loom brackets? I'm not sure how far into the block it's threaded and don't want to end up too short (or too long). Sorry, I'm a novice at this but am taking notes and learning as I go along.

I would lay the covers, gaskets, hold downs, etc, on the head, poke a wire down into the hole and measure the length where it's flush with the top of the mounting surface. Then subtract about a 1/4 inch. That will get your length pretty close. Too long can be corrected easily by cutting. Bolt stretching is tough for being too short.
