trying to determine correct oil filler decal codes

The oil filler tube on my #s matched '72 CS 350 had an original decal still affixed bearing a QD code - motor was a 2bbl w/auto trans and a/c and appeared to have never been opened except for a t-chain replacement. Even water pump was original.

In reading the chassis manual though, QD doesn't appear to have been the correct code for my engine specs (possibly somebody swapped tubes?).

So the motor now is a 4bbl, all else being as above. The book says QD was the code for a 350 4bbl manual trans and the correct code options for my original combo were QB or QC (doesn't say which equates to a/c).

Book shows QJ and QK for 350 4bbl cods with auto trans (again, doesn't say which is for a/c).

Unfortunately my original decal essentially disintegrated during the motor rebuild process but cheap repro versions are available (albeit not identical).

so my question is - are there any other info sources I can check to identify the codes more distinctly? Not sure if I want to go back to a proper 2-bbl code (for what it was) or the proper 4bbl code (for what it is now).

thanks
