Stock replacement Rocker arms/Pivots/Pushrods
Stock replacement Rocker arms/Pivots/Pushrods
Hello everyone,
71 350 sbo, stock cam, stock steel shim head gaskets, stock non-adjustable stamped steel rockers with the 3-piece pivots (not the cast aluminium pivots that tend to break while tightening down).
when i had my stock rockers off to shim the valve springs to correct height, i noticed some slight wear at the points where the rockers ride on the pivots. for sure, there is some wear at the rocker tips too and i guess also at the pushrods which is maybe normal after 50 years running.
i am thinking of maybe replacing rockers, pivots + bridges and pushrods.
Rockauto lists:
Rockers: Melling MR890 for a single rocker and Enginetech ERK890 for kit with 2 rockers and 2 pivots + bridge.
Bridges: SBI 1831028
Pivots: SBI 1831027, SBI 1831014 and a Melling kit with bridge MRM1798
Pushrods: Melling MPR307 and Enginetech EPR307 both with a lenght of 8.234 (is this lenght correct with stock head gaskets?)
im tending to go for Melling MR890 + Melling MRM1798 and Melling MPR307 Pushrods.
has anyone used some of these parts as a stock replacement?
thanks for some thoughts.

If you want to buy from Rock see if they have Melling MRK540-1 or the SBI 181-1057 Those are both a kit with 2 rockers and a pivot
MPR307 is the correct pushrod. SBI Pushrod is 190-1411
I use the SBI parts pretty much on everything and have never had a problem. Melling should also be fine.
Here is a link to the SBI web site if you want to look at their parts:
