snapping noise in head

There seems to be a consistent snapping noise in my driver side head. I'm assuming there is something wrong with one of the valves. It speeds up and slows down with the rpms. I am gonna take the cover off tomorrow to try to get a look at it, but i figured i would come here first if any of you know exactly whats wrong, so I can be prepared for it.

Snapping?? MMMMMMMM.............or maybe a collapsed lifter and a pushrod hitting a rocker arm??

pulled off cover and everything seemed to be pretty tight and well oiled. lifters and push rods were good. could it just be a valve that is not seating right?

Check all of the bridges. It may be hard to spot, but I will lay odds that you may have one that snapped.
It is best to unbolt them to see, only unbolt when the cam lobes are NOT on lift for that pair of rockers you are removing.
