roller lifter

I have a olds 403 with a hydraulic cam and hydraulic roller lifters. I can see the contact on the cam where the lifters are riding the cam through the valley hole in the block. the rollers seem to be slightly riding towards the edge of the cam. What does this mean? Are they supposed to ride directly in the middle? I am running one of the mondello spacers on the cam to prevent cam walk.

Spacer or a button? Ideally they should ride in the middle but it would depend on the cam core as well. One way or another I don't think it will really hurt anything.

Are you running a hyd cam that was made for flat tappet lifters,or are you running a cam that is made for hyd roller lifters? Just thought I would ask.

Am I supposed to run the cam spacer between the cam and block and the thrust button becasue thats the setup right now. if i did remove the spacer it would put ther lifter closer to the lobe centerline but not much. I aslo have the spacer on the crank. The parts are from Mondello.
