Retrofit?

Hey masters of the small block,

I have a 65 Olds 330 Small Block that I plan on dropping in my 1971 Cutlass S when the time comes. However, it doesn't have pulleys. Currently in the 71 there is 350 small block with fan and pulleys. My question is this: can I use the pulleys and fan on my 330? If so, how intense is it? If not, what are some viable options?

Thanks!

The blocks are externally identical. Swap the water pump, pulleys, brackets, and accessories from the 350 as a matched set to avoid belt alignment problems. Be sure to properly reinstall the two spacers between the PS pump bracket and the block.

You will need to use the 330 flexplate as the 350 is different.

Good point, I should have mentioned that. The crank flange on the 1964-67 motors uses a different bolt pattern than on the 1968-90 motors. You need the flexplate or flywheel that matches the crank.
