replacement carb advice

69 cutlass, stock 350 w/ th350 342 rear. finally finished resto of chassis and want to get car on road for last month or 2 w/ top down. found my quadrajet has more probs than an easy rebuild and don't have time now to dig into it. what would be a good replacement for this carb. it is stock engine w/ factory 4bbl intake and i don't need anything fancy. it is a spread bore intake, so if figure a holley will require an adapter, but i found holley still makes 4175 carb as replacement for quadrajet. summit also has a very reasonbly priced carb 600cfm for 225. any ideas.

IMHO rebuild the Q-jet is your best bet. Or buy one on evil bay with the Divorce choke.

You could always spend $20 and rebuild the Q-jet just to get it on the road. If you don't like it after driving it for awhile you can always drop money on a new carburetor. I've looked at the Summit carburetors. They are reasonably priced and are essentially Holley clones. I haven't heard anything good or bad about them though.
