replace the quadrajet?

I have been battling this old quadrajet on my '71 Cutlass Supreme for about a month now. Quick question.
Would it be cheaper to rebuild the original quadrajet, or replace it with a new one? I've seen them online for as low as $210 and as high as $400. But I'm not sure which places are reputable and which ones are scams.

If you are asking about replacing it with another Qjet (as opposed to a different brand of carb), I'd be VERY skeptical of on-line rebuilders, especially the low end ones. I've seen carbs in the past that were claimed to be (for example) a correct 1967 Olds Qjet when in fact it was a frankecarb assembled from mis-matched components. Unless there's a major flaw with the hard parts in your carb (possible but highly unlikely), you can't go wrong with a reputable rebuild of your original carb.
