Remanuafactured 1705(76-79) Qaudrajet
307 & Joe have been helping me with my Studebaker/Olds 307 project. I am going to go with a Quadrajet after the modification in '76 and before the CCC models. I searched eBay for used ones as well as Rock Auto for new ones. The one that keeps standing out to me is the United Manufacturing 11-1230 which appears to have the correct linkage. I am a little confused however with the manual vs. automatic Quadrajets. An article I found gave the interpretation for the ID number. It says that if the last letter is even it is for an automatic and odd = manual. I am guessing it might have something to do with the linkage. My 17084258 CCC carb has the linkage for the cable coming from the automatic tranny. If the carburetor I end up with does not have the correct linkage I am hoping my linkage can be removed from the shaft and placed on the new carburetor. If things go right I plan to attach a couple of pictures of my linkage.

I had a 76 350 carb without the kickdown stud, on the gas pedal but the linkage had the spot and the correct shaped linkage. The studs are available aftermarket. It should have the right linkage, it just may need drilled for thr stud.
