Quadrajet to Edelbrock manifold adaptor question?
I was at my local Kregan the other day and saw a Quadrajet to Edelbrock manifold adaptor. Im still learning so Ive never seen this before. I thought in order to run Edelbrock carbs I would need to buy a whole new matching intake. Is it possible to run a Performer 750 with original 350 Rocket Qjet manifold and one of these adaptors I saw? Would it run properly? My Quadrajet needs to be replaced and Ive seen tons of Edelbrock carbs for sale for fairly cheap so I am considering running one until I can find a proper Quadrajet to have the extra cash to buy a new carb and intake combo. Thanks

Ok if you look at the Edelbrock intake for the Olds 350 you will see that it has a "dual pattern" flange. The Quadrajet will bolt straight on with no adapter needed.
Now If you tried to bolt an edelbrock carb on that would be another story. That carb is wider and the throttle will hit the EGR boss on the intake.
And it's not Kragen any more. O'Reilly bought them and the name has now changed.

edelbrock performer #3711 has the EGR ports. #2711 has no ports, and fits the carb no problem.
i installed a 1406 Edelbrock onto a #3711 intake by using 2 spacers (actually 1 phenolic & 1 spacer) and 3 gaskets. it aint pretty but the linkage now clears the EGR mounting pad.
