Pulling engine

What is the best points to hook the chain to when pulling engine & trans together?

I use a motor plate on the intake manifold. There are also 2 lift brackets on a lot of the motors. Or you can use 1 bolt in the front and 1 in the rear on opposite sides of the heads.

Lift plate is cheap, covers the intake manifold up, and makes installation much easier than chains on opposite heads. Go get one, they're less than $20. Make sure to get grade 8 bolts as long as will fit inside the intake and still tighten up against the plate. I think I use 5/16" X 1" on the last one...it's all dependent on the intake.
