Ok littel confused / frustrated
I just installed the new to me built 350 and the block is from 1973 (code was verified) my old motor was a stock 1977 Cutlass original to car.
The 77 motor had a/c in car but was removed by previous owner, my problem none of the pulleys are in line, I have since measured both water pumps the 73 pump is 1/4" shorter than the 77.
I tryed every possible combo of old / new pulleys with no success the last step is to take the old power steering pump off from the 73 and switch mine for it ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated
P.S. I am assuming the 73 motor was a non a/c car for the it is only 14 and some change in diameter with 2 grooves for the belts, and the 77 motor w/ ac has 3 grooves for belt and is 16 and change in diameter

If you want AC you need to get a long snout water pump on the '73 and then with all the pulleys from '77 it should all fit. If you don't want AC you need to use the short water pump from the '73 or buy a new one for non-AC application and use all the pulleys from the "73 motor, if you have them. You can't mix n match.

Dan this is where I am getting stuck at I do not want the a/c and it has been removed, So I am using the smaller pulleys from the 73 and none of them line up and they came on this motor so I am assuming I have to change the power steering pump out to get the belts all to line up, For that is the only NON 73 pulley I have in the mix
