oil pressure light flashing during break in

I recently rebuilt my 1970 olds 350. Its a 362 olds with 425 pistons performer intake, quadrajet carb, 478/508 comp cam, rebuilt heads etc.

I primed the engine before start up and during break in my oil light was flashing when the rpms would drop. The switch was brand new but Im going to a mechanical switch this weekend to see if im getting low pressure. I heard no ticking or knocking during 8-10 min of running the engine. I got a little worried about the gauge so that's where I stopped. any ideas?

I'd run a mechanical gauge and see what the pressure is doing.

+1.

Seriously, you broke in a new engine without an oil pressure gauge?

I would almost suspect this to be a prank post.
