The best is yet to come.

I also found a guy who is building two 17'' x 10'' wheels Smoothie II. Just like the ones I have since 2008. Mine were only 17'' x 8''. Bigger tires for the rear! Shoe horn and a baseball bat to fit.

While anything will break under enough force, I will agree that that four bolt setup you are doing makes it so those parts will not be the failure point. I wish there was a way to do 6 bolt mains on these old engines, but I don't think it's possible.

Hi Koda, I say cautiously Normal DX blocks with added 4 bolt mains. And lightweight rotating assembly is more than most here need.

RR block for the big boy drag racers.

Peyton may build a engine block one day. His heads, are him thinking outside the box. Just making the heads wider, to do what you need. He is young. He made a cad drawing of this same HP block his brother has twin turbos on.

Want 6 bolls mains with 6 bolts around cylinder.. Buy a LSX that Warren Johnson help design. That was Oldsmobile enough for me. And one of the ways I was going.

After all these years of just looking at that engine, I'm so excited your getting it done.
A Lot of headaches but it will be worth it.

ok, good choice. I haven’t been following along closely. You initially said you were going to make your own intake to fit under the hood ….and your own oil pan .

Thanks, I already had it. But did not think it would fit under existing the 2'' cowl. Will make it fit. Oil pan, I just want it to do its job correctly and not leak.

I have some wider rim coming next week for the rear. With the biggest tires that will fit. From Chris Coddington, great guy! He had the same wheel from 2008 that are on the car. See how it goes, he want to do 18'' x 12'' rim. Kind of see what happens with the 10'' wide ones. This is my daily driver, I know most of the cops here. I do not want to push to far.

well, as far as I know , sticky tires prevent problems with cops because they don’t squeal like a pig and let the whole world know exactly where you are…oh ya, and no smoke

If the rest of your drivetrain isn't up to par with that engine you will definitely be braking stuff hooking up with stickies.
BEWARE !

What is your current 2004R situation and a 8.5" rear? This little motor will test the capacity of both, which is awesome!

Continental extreme contact sport 285/40R17 100 W Tires out back on new wheels. Are sticky enough for me. No snow here. Again streetcar. 2004R good till it breaks. Hope to start on the plan to beefing up the frame next week. I have alot of work to do. Have a go to guy now with welder and auto knowledge to help me.

Rear end I am going back and forth S60, Ford 9 or 12 bolt. 8.5 would die for sure. The way I am going Gears Jammer in HighwayStar. Best to sell my well maintain 8.5.
