Motor not running right !!!
Hot wire didn't change a thing. Transmission is not shifting, If you put it in lower gear and shift it up manually, it does act like a car should. My brother is going to talk to a transmission shop about it.
Where is the vacuum line for the trans connected on the engine?
Adjust your kick down cable to start. Been awhile since I have played with a TH350, a blown modulator or unhooked line will prevent up shifts correct? Lack of kick down will make it feel doggy at highway speed.
Actually, they are. The accelerator pedal end of the cable has a solid steel shaft swaged on the end of the flexible cable. There is a spring clip that slides on this shaft. The spring clip governs when the accelerator pedal tab pulls the cable. The clip can be moved in and out on the shaft to adjust the kickdown point.

I know it's been a long time, but I pulled the cutlass out of storage today! I was upset with the way it was running so I put it away, and thought I would get back to it some day. well here is a update, thanks to svnt442, my vacuum lines were the problem, moved it to where the diagram showed, now car runs like crazy, big burn outs, transmission shift like it should, lots of power, my brother is on cloud nine. Thanks to everyone that help me along the way, sorry it took so long to get a outcome for all of you. Troy
