Motor mounts 330

I need to replace the motor mounts on my 67 .330 cutlass conv. I've seen aftermarket ones that look like cheap rubber or plastic. Should I continue looking for originals? I'm not concerned about using a repro piece, I just want the motor to be secure and stop making that loud noise when I punch it. My brother-in-law told me some horror stories about engines popping and jamming the linkage. Really prefer that not to happen.

Originals were metal and rubber, they fail when rubber comes apart. I have not seen any cheap repro's and you may be able to get em from NAPA, Autozone etc.

Anchor P/N 2261, about $7 each at Rock Auto. Yes, they are Chinesium, but they also are the newer interlocking design that won't separate even if the rubber comes apart.
