mondello headers & my 66 330 Cutlass

they are a tight fit, and it seems like they need just a 1/4" more clearance.

I'm thinking of building a 1/4" plate riser that will bolt between the engine mount pads and the frame.

Or does anyone know of a mount pads with a raised mount hole?

Joe P should if anyone does!

The frame pads for the 64-72 A-body cars come in two flavors. The 69-72 big block cars used one with the cross bolt hole about 2 1/4" down from the top two bolts and all the rest (big and small block) used mounts with the cross bolt about 1.5" down from the top two bolts. You should have the latter in your car, so the answer is no.

Are your motor mounts relatively new? Old mounts can sag and distort, causing the motor to sit a little lower. That might be your 1/4" right there. Use Anchor P/N 2261 mounts with the stock frame mounts.

thanks for your help, Joe..

the mounts are brand new and i used up the adjustment slots on the right mount pad. i still have contact present.

i am going to shim up the mount pads with 1/4" washers and hope this gets the clearance needed.
