Manifold Question

Hello:

We have a 71 350 olds with 7a heads and manifold all original. Its in a 71 olds cutlass. We are going to remove the heads and bring them to a machine shop for a surface, value job and pressure test. Shouldn't the manifold get resurfaced? They said it would have to be checked first to see if it can be mounted and depends on exhaust crossover. Is there a new manifold available that would fit these heads?

Thanks

No, it should not be necessary to resurface the intake with minor head milling. If they just mill the extra thickness difference of the newer head gaskets, it's all good.

As OldCutlass said, you won't have to have any machining done on the intake.
