Manifold
Manifold
How hard is it to install a new manifold on a olds 350? Id imagine it would be pretty easy take the carb off remove all hoses and such, new gaskets and wallah the one i have is pretty beat up, plus a look into the engine wouldnt hurt..
thanks!
thanks!
It's very easy, as you mentioned above is all it takes. By the way this particular job does go a lot better with beer, a friend, and the cussing handbook.
The friend is helpful as that manifold is pretty heavy and you need someone to cuss at.

One thing to keep in mind is that you are openning up the engine. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Before you remove the intake, clean all the little corners and pockets where the manifold meets the heads that collect crud. Blow everything off with compressed air if possible. Don't forget to drain some coolant. When cleaning the gasket surface, don't let anything fall into the ports or the valley. Also look up the torque specs and sequence. Pay attention and you'll be fine.
Hahaha Well the beer gose without saying, i have just the buddy in mind to and i dont need the hand book im a f*#%ing pro! HAHA
