Looking for a Very Good 7042250 Quadrajet

I want to buy a 7042250 Quadrajet for my 350 completely redone, so who has them and who do you recommend? Looking for the best street / strip performance quadrajet carb builder.

Sparky's has a good reputation but I have never bought from them. I know others on here have. Here is the link:

I've had some phone conversations with the Spark-man and found him very generous with his knowledge and time. The last time we spoke he did not have any carb cores. This place does have a core for you however. http://customrebuiltcarburetors.com/index.shtml

correction... he doesn't sell cores outright-if you're looking for a complete job including supplying a core, he does that.

I have a core that I'd let go for cheap. It will need a total makeover, not even close to ready to run.

You may not halve to go through that, as you may be able to re-jet your current Q-Jet. Thats what I did for my current 455, with a #17057256 carb originally on a stock 403. Had H-O Enterprises supply me with jetting to my specs, and did the installation myself. Everythings spot on, with instant throttle response, and good plug color. Everythings electric choke now with the Edelbock Performer intake manifold, but would do this again in a heart beat.

I have a rebuilt, replated fresh 7042250, I think

ONE problem with it, the inlet threads are week and it needs the heli-coil- about $100 for that fix I hear.

Pretty and redone otherwise.

contact me if that would work for you.
