Acabo de adquirir un Oldsmobile Cutlass S 5 7 1976 de cuatro puertas, como todo auto con años encima tiene muchas cosas partes que en algún momento le reemplazaron, modificaron o anularon y aquí comienza mi travesía...
No soy Mecánico de profesión pero siempre me ha gustado en la medida de lo posible entender el funcionamiento de mis vehículos y meterle mano hasta donde sea prudentemente posible; Por el momento me estoy enfocando en qué el vehículo encienda, camine y se mantenga caminando sin mayores problemas antes de detallar dirección y suspensión que claramente necesita mucho trabajo. Pero específicamente en el motor me he encontrado con algunas modificaciones y componentes desconectados y como aquí en México este vehículo no es nada común se me está complicando un poco entender y determinar como es que algunos componentes van instalados.
El vehículo me lo entregaron sin filtro de aire y sin su base instaladas al carburador (que por cierto tiene un carburador Motorcraft de dos gargantas instalado lo cual me complica aún más la situación), algunas mangueras que van hacia el carburador desconectadas o agrietadas por lo que aquí es donde necesito un poco de ayuda para comenzar a poner todo en orden. Un diagrama me vendría bien para identificar cómo tiene que ir instalado en general todo lo relacionado al carburador, motor y demás componentes en cuanto a mangueras por el momento.

But specifically in the engine I have found some modifications and disconnected components and since here in Mexico this vehicle is not at all common it is a little complicated for me to understand and determine how some components are installed.
The vehicle was delivered to me without an air filter and without its base installed to the carburetor (which by the way has a two-barrel Motorcraft carburetor installed which complicates the situation even more for me), some hoses that go to the carburetor disconnected or cracked so this is where I need a little help to start putting everything in order. A diagram would be useful to me to identify how everything related to the carburetor, engine and other components in terms of hoses has to be installed in general for the moment.
