hmm what is the next step
Undecided on the next up grade for my car. Im leaning towards a cheap cam set up, or are the 3A heads really that bad.
My set up
77 350, stock bottom end
3A heads
cam is unknown, im assuming stock
performer intake
2000 tci stall
4:11 gears
750 demon carb
Traction bars
and some 275/60r15
any suggestions would be awesome guys. Finally time to work on my after getting married

The large chamber smog heads kill that engine. See about getting some earlier heads and have large valves installed. In stock trim those heads have 75 cc chambers lowering compression ratio to 8.5 which is not to good for producing power. Even with a better cam it would be held back.

Here are the chamber volumes to help you should you go that route.
330 - 3 - 60cc
330 - 4 - 60
350 - 5 - 64
350 - 6 - 64
350 - 7 - 64
350 - 7a - 64
350 - 8 - 79
350 - 3A - 75
403 - 4A - 83
403 - 5A - 67
You could also get an instant set of ported heads by putting big block heads on it. Just have to deck them to bring the chambers back down to a reasonable cc size. Bigger ports, bigger valves all built in. Just have to have enough meat on your intake to cover the taller intake port opening.
