Heater control valve vacuum routing 1972 cutlass supreme 350

Hello! Can someone point out where the heater control valve vacuum line should be routed in my 1972 cutlass supreme 350? I don't see it in the chassis manual. There is A port on the manifold directly in front of the distributor cap, but I believe that is where the plastic cylinder vacuum canister on the firewall, that's directly connected to the heater controls inside the car, is connected. Should there be a T here for both units to attach to that port on the manifold? Thank you! Chris

Am I right and realizing that the heater control valve vacuum connects directly to the user controls inside the car?
