Are there any tricks intalling Headman headers with engine in chassis? I don"t see a lot of room, in fact I'm guessing I might have to lift the engine to get them in. These pipes were on this engine originally.

 

you should be able to do it without lifting the engine. they usually have to go in from the bottom and yes they can be tight getting them in.

 

You may have to pull one motor mount bolt and tilt the engine back and forth with a floor jack under the pan.

 

As much as we may curse these header manufactures the fact is they usually go right in and out after you pull the oil filter adapter and the starter

When their in there they may look like a nightmare though...

Im impressed with all the work that went into most of my headers to tell ya the truth

 

I managed to get them in, removed the oil filter, loosened the trans mounts and raised the engine a few inches. It's an open chassis so the effort isn't a big deal...I suspect removing the starter may have worked as well. Thanks All

 

Generally in the instructions it says to remove starter and oil filter. Glad to hear you got em in!!
