fuel pump rebuild, help!
fuel pump rebuild, help!
Hi,
I have a fuiel pump from a 1960 371 dynamic, that i am rebuilding. It is all apart and soaking in cleaner.
I cannot figure out how to separate both the lower and upper diaphragm plates. how do i do this?! '
The pump i have looks like this
FuelPump.jpg
The diaphragms look like this: is this how it is supposed to be separated
it seems like they are pressed together. there is no bolt to separate them both.
help please!
Also, i noticed there was a fair amount of oil inside the pump, is this normal?

If you buy a kit from one of these vendors, very likely they'd pass along a couple tips & tricks.
