Felpro Intake Gasket Differences

I am looking at buying an Edelbrock 2711 intake. Edelbrock's instructions say to use the Felpro MS96027 intake gasket. My engine is a 1969 Olds 350 with no egr. the 2711 is a non egr intake manifold. The Felpro MS96027 is a gasket made for 1973 and newer egr engines. The Felpro MS96009 gasket are made for 1972 and older engines without egr Valves.

I contacted Edelbrock support and was told "Yes you can use either one actually, we here at Edelbrock have been suggesting the Fel-Pro MS 96027 for over 30+ years, and you are the first to ask us your question, just make sure you never use rubber end seals as we only and have always suggested RTV Silicon on the end seals....."

Does anyone know what the actual difference between the two gaskets are? I thought the center exhaust cross over port was in the same location on all Olds small blocks. Which of the two gaskets would you use?

Thanks,
Noel

That info is wrong like you suspected, if you try to use MS96027 the crossover will be bigger because its for 73, use MS96009, Eldebrock does no about this as there are other threads about this issue and they were told. check the pic out in this thread showing the difference.
