DVCS and transmission.

The diagram in the CSM states that there should be a t-connector in the routing that connects the DVCS to manifold to transmission vacuum. Will it work just as well to connect the transmission to its own manifold vacuum port, or could that be why I'm getting poor mileage? As I understand it, part of what that switch does it make the more advance when you're traveling at high speed, which it can't tell unless it's connected to the transmission, right?

Both need to be connected to manifold vacuum. It doesn't matter if you tee them together or connect them separately, the manifold itself is a big "tee".
