Considering that the computer requires the TPS and distributor signal to figure out when to lock up the converter... no.

I've heard that guys wire them up to a pressure switch added to the trans, so it'll only lock up in 4th gear.
Or you can get a torque converter lock up kit. B&M makes one.

Thanks for the reply, Joe. Couldn't find a straight answer on the net

M-14, I've seen those kits. I just don't want to spend the money since I'm going to be buying a built 200r4 in about a year (hopefully) to put behind the 330

Why not - you'll still need it for the new one.
I know the early 700r4's only needed a 12 volt source and a T.V. cable - worked off solenoids, no computer, and when right, were real good.

There are other cheaper kits and/or methods of retaining your lockup function. If for some reason you are dead set against messing with lockup, then you can have your trans built specifically to not use it. This would allow you to run a more efficient non-lockup converter.

To expand on the prior posts, the 200-4R works fine without the lockup function - I've been running the one in my Custom Cruiser that way for a couple of years. You can easily hook up a toggle switch to engage the lockup manually on the highway, but you need to remember to disengage it when you downshift or slow down.
