Dip Stick Tube replacement

Hey guys,

Quick question. I just noticed that the tube for my dip stick is broke unless it was a two piece design. It looks like it is seperated flush with the block so there is nothing sticking out from the block. My question is how to replace the tube? Is it a matter of pulling the pan and to get to the broken piece or was this a two piece tube?

Thanks

Some people have had success by screwing in a sheet metal screw that is just the right size. Then pulling on it with pliers.

I'm not that lucky..... so pulling the pan was the only option. A lot of work but tapped it out easily.

I had to pull the pan but it was worth it because I had to change the gasket on the oil pan anyway.Tapped right out from the bottom.

Mine broke as well. I tapped it out from the bottom, but my engine was upside down on a stand.
