Choke "Stove" gasket

Hi all,

Had my intake manifold hot tanked and installed new choke stove gasket w/o sealer. Didn't hold. Leaked though both sides. Wondering if I should have used some copper sealant? or any other advice? Maybe the stove flange is warped? Bought a new stove from inline tube planning to use it when reassembling.

Was wondering if I should smear some copper sealant on the new felpro gasket then assemble or just go with the dry gasket again?

Thanks!

Something must be warped. I have never had a problem with the Fel Pro gaskets. Make sure the bolts are not bottoming out. There really should not be a lot of pressure there anyway unless you have a bad exhaust restriction.

It's easy for that stove plate to get bent. I usually put some hi-temp RTV on it and it'd be good for a decent while.
