gasket problems

hey i just took my trans mission out of my 70 cutlass with a 350 rocket in i had been changing the pan gasket thinking that maybe it was to tight or to loose, then i came to find that the front seal on the trans was leaking. So i pulled the trans and replaced the front and rear seals, now since the trans is still out of the car i want to change the oil pan gasket because it also has a leak i need a lil direction on how to gett this oil pan off without pulling the motor out of the car? i was told that it would be hard because of the flywheel soim wondering if i need to remove the flywheel to make it easier and not have to lift the motor.

You will need to jack engine up off the mounts to clear engine cradle/frame section with the pan. Hopefully you have dual exhaust else crossover pipe must come off.. PITA!
