Carburetor help
You are right about Olds engines being rarer up here. We had millions less 307's up here than down South. I saw my 76 350 on Kijji for $150 in Regina, talked him down to $120. Motor is great shape, good compression and awesome oil pressure. I did gaskets, cam, lifters and timing chain. Try doing that with an original 76 sbc, good luck. Mr Gasket makes a 4 hole phenolic 1" spacer, I am using it. You have to install so it looks upside down but works great. It uses and comes with the same thin Qjet gaskets Canadian Tire carries.
The gasket I got with the rebuild kit is about a quarter inch. I'm gonna talk with my mechanic friend. I really do appreciate the input on this guys, I'm starting to feel some of the community. Now if I can just find the time to work on the old gal,
Cheers,
Cheers,
