carb question
#2
I have a 350 olds in the 400 hp range with a 600 cfm carb if fed it good. I did run a proform 650 double pumper it was just a tad bit big even after a lot of tunning almost had it perfect but my converter was to blame, too tight so the car bogged slightly. I could have changed the pump cams but i gave up . I ran a 750 edelbrock and that was just wayyyyyy to big didn't even bother to try to make it work sold it . My car ran great on the street and strip with the 600. i think a 650 vac. secondaries would work good. Alot would also agree a 750 vac. seconaries will work but those usually will require some re jetting and tunning. If i may ask why the swap from the 750 to 650 ?

Yep i had the same thing. The 650 vac secondaries should work good. The 650 double pumper will work but it will need a looser converter and some tuning for the street from my personal experience. I used the 600 edelbrock out the box car went 13.3 straight out of the box. This year im running a bigger stall and 650 double pumper and see if there is a considerable change in e.t. and mph. I dont know if holley makes a 650 vacuum secondaries i know they got the 670 street avengers. Btw if you want a cheap holley straigh from holley go to ebay and go to holley's ebay store you can pick you price and find out in seconds if they accept it most are factory refurbished imo better than new . I picked up a remaned 650 dp for 250 straight from holleys kentucky plant.
