I would look into having your old one rebuilt. It might cost a little more but you will be getting the right carb back, will fit, and should run with minimal adjustments.

Rob is giving very good advice (he always does). Sparky's is probably the most recognized and highly recommended. I have not used them but I don't think I have ever heard anything bad about them. It will require some patience because they are very busy. I know there are lots of other good places that are good. Where are you located?

I would second the idea to find a person to rebuild your Q-jet. There are several qualified people that can do it. I used Dean Oliver. Search for Deano's Carburetor Service. He will treat you right. Dean should be able to turn your carb around quicker. He will take the time to talk to you also. He asked me specific questions about my engine to tailor the tune to fit my application. If you decide to use Dean, you won't be disappointed.

I have also heard people say good things about Sparky too.

Mountain Man rebuilder

Ted and his wife Ardel are very good rebuilders that the guys in El Camino forum use quite a bit...on Q-jets
