Anyone use this edlebrock part?

It is a pair of cross over plugs for olds....pn 2733. I want to use them when I put my motor back together. Will they work for the SBO heads?

Thanks,

Yes they'll work but I recommend filling the crossovers and welding or surfacing the center exhaust divider instead, instant hp gain.

I'll bite.

What do you use to fill the crossover? Melted chevy pistons?

What are you talking about the center divider?

Won't this piece take the place of filling the crossover?

Based on your PM forget it. You're using manifolds so just stay with the plugs.

I've heard the exhaust crossover plugs can come loose and rattle. I decided not to use them in my Edelbrock intake manifold.

My Machinist made plates for the heat crossover on my manifolds, then he machined the manifold and welded them in, then surfaced the mating areas, he did NOT plug the heads as my build wasn't for racing?? I don't know if i picked up any ponies, but I am sure the manifold will be a little cooler.

My 4A heads already have a divider built up, where as my 3As had none. Perhaps I need to rethink this exhaust thing.

I am using them and have had no problems. I had to grind them down some to fit before pounding them in. The intake runs much cooler now.

These go in the intake, right? I was hoping they went into the head to make quick divider between the ports.

How does one go about filling in the space there between the exhaust valves to make it two ports?

They go into the heads to fill the EGR crossover.

Cool. Plenty of reading there. I think I've got it now.
