71 350 build spec's

Engine built by previous owner, I am mostly curious about the cam choice. 4 speed with 3.23 rear end. I'd like to have the stock Q jet rebuild and used.

.30 over with speed pro forged flat tops
cylinder heads at 69 cc
stated compression 9.8 to 1
crower cam. gross lift 488in 494ex
center line 108
duration at .50 215 221
lobe lift 305 308
lobe seperation 112
intake 2.07 exhust 1.60
headers
performer rpm
holly fuel something or other carb
Petronix (sucks leave key on for a few seconds or crank away)

Nice lope at idle, pulls hard.

Thanks for the input.

I think that is a decent cam choice for a pretty quick street car.

My lunati is .485 in .485 ex
106 centerline
duration at _050 221 in 230 ex
LObe seperation 112
RR in 1.6 ex 1.6

Pretty close.

Thanks J, ever dyno yours...I dont have much more info on the heads. What carb are you using? I am sending my Q jet to Sparky for an overhaul.

It's right around 390 horse. with alternator only. No PS, air, or water pump belts.

Unfortunately for you, there's no info on what was done to your heads.
Air flow in the heads is what makes your small block stand out from the others.

Look at my flow numbers compared to what the stock ones were before machining and you'll see what I mean.

Your guess is as good as mine on your motor. Sometimes mystery builds are awesome, but most of the time they're disappointing.

I'm using Holley 650 double pumper, jetted 2 sizes up.
