350 rocket 1972 cuttlas problem

Question 350 rocket 1972 cuttlas problem

I have a 72 olds cuttlass s 350 rocket and I lost the power steering belt and the alt belt so I bought new belts so when I took the alt bracket and power steering pump and neg ground bolts I don't rember how they go back I don't have ac at all so is there a diagram I can go by to put it back together properly.?

You really didn't need to take any brackets apart. You only have to loosen the pivot bolts and the slide adjustment bolts.

Anyway, your alternator should be on the passenger side and the P.S. on the drivers side. Is there any way you can post pics of the brackets that you have disassembled? I really have no way of knowing what all you have taken apart without pics.

The pic in the middle that bracket bolts to the the lower alt. bracket and to the back of the alt. When you look at the back of the alt. you will see a bolt hole for it.

FYI your bracket and pulley setup is for a car with A/C. Some one most have remove the compressor at some point.

X2. Either it is an A/C car or someone put an A/C motor complete with alternator in.

70 cutlass has you on the right track. You'll get it back together.
