?350 heads on a 330

?350 heads on a 330

to lower my compresson on my 65 330 from 10.25 to around 9.2 or 9.5 what 350 heads should I use? are they a bolt on? which head gasket 330 or 350 ? thank you......jim

Your best bet would be the No. 8 heads used on the 1973-76 350s. These bolt on, use the same size head bolts, and have hardened valve seats. The only issue might be clearance for the pushrods due to the differences in lifter bank angle. Mock up the assembly and if the pushrods hit, you can enlarge the pushrod holes to clear. Either head gasket will work. If you still have the stock steel shim head gaskets, the FelPro blue gaskets have a thicker compressed height that will also lower compression by a small amount.

Post push rods

thank you joe for the responce, should I use the 350 push rods ? as my eng now has a mech cam and lifters and am going to a hydrolic cam and lifters. need some quite time.
