Yes they will. They will raise the cr also (1-1.5 points) depending on gasket used and machining to block or heads

wireman, am about to start the reengine of my 65 cutlass and have on hand a 1975 olds 350 with 41000 miles on it, my 330 has a mech cam, eldel rpm intake and eldel 600 cfm, hooker headers. thats it for eng upgrades.has no scat even with the tci 350 and 355 posi, going to reseal the new 350, and recam it, maybe? as in the other post that you anwsered, really I need to pick a route and go with it, thats reason for all the questions as am not good at designing an engine. maybe you could advise as to what to do?. I know the 350 is a lo po mtr, have the engle cam on hand and are at this time purchasing new oil pump, fuel and water pump, all gaskets.felpro blue. eldel 750 polished carb, eldel polished intake, mondello tall valve cover's. just because this on hand does'nt mean i have to use any of it. you help would be greatly apprecated,

First things first. Your 330 should be a 45 degree motor. Assuming the cam was replaced, are you sure it was for a 45 degree lifter bank angle ? If not, that could be one of the reasons it has no get up and go. Second, if it is a 45 degree cam, it will not work in the 350. 350's have a 39 degree LBA. Just some thoughts.

As Dennis noted, the cam for the 350 should be for a 39 degree lifted bank angle. You want to just do the top end of the 350, right? Keep the stock bottom end and pistons correct? Pistons should be if stock a 14cc or so dish. If all you want to do is heads , cam, and intake, then clean the 330 heads up, cut maybe .005-.010" off surface. Use the Fel Pro head gasket with the stock deck height of .025" or so, you'll have about 9:1 CR. Keep the cam between 215-225 @ .050" lift. Best thing to do would use the 330 forged crank in the 350 block re piston .030" over, deck the block close to .0", cut the heads minimum just to true surface, 3 angle valve job. New flat tops and 6cc dished pistons with the 60cc 330 heads would give to high CR. for pump gas. Find a 14cc dished piston and you'll have around 9.7:1 CR. The cam could be in the 220-230 degree@ .050" range then. Either carb or intake will do fine.

Question

WIREMAN, YES AM WANTING TO DO JUST THE TOP END, MY CAM IS 512/524 LIFT, 274/ 278 DURATION/ HAS 104 DEGRESS BETWEEN THE LOBES, GOT THIS CAM AND ROLLER ROCKER'S W/ STUDS AND PUSH RODS AND GUIDE PLATES TIMING GEAR DRIVE ALL FROM MONDELLO'S IN CAILF. HE SAID IT WOULD GIVE ME BOTTOM END TORQUE AND IT WOULD BE FROM 1500 TO 5000 RPM RANGE SO TO KEEP THE CAR USEABLE AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE OLDSMOBLE NATIONAL'S IN OTHER STATES , 1 USE THE 330 HEADS W/ CLEANUP, 2 KEEP THE LOWER END AS IS STOCK 1975 350 PISTON'S CRANK AND RODS. 3 ASSEMBLE WITH FELPRO BLUE GASKET SET. i WOULD END UP WITH A 350 WITH 330 HEADS HOLDING ABOUT 9.0 COMPRESSION, REMEMBER i NOW HAVE A 2600 STALL W/TCI'S 350, 355 POSI,

That cam is grind EP-43/46 w/ 110 lobe centers (222/230@.050" lift) will work fine with the converter and 3.55 gears. If you could score a thinner head gasket you would have a better CR for that cam, a little more vacuum for power brakes.

Much useful information here:http://oldsjunction.classicoldsmobil...0of%20Contents
