330 heater hook up

I rebuilt my 330 2 years ago and finally I am trying to get it on the road. Switched from 2 to 4 barrel. Can this heater on the choke simply be hooked up to the intake manifold or does it need to go to the exhaust.

Well that looks like an electric choke so connect it to a switched 12 Volt source.

Looks like someone took the old choke housing and added a electric choke, so that fitting is not needed.

Currently the electric choke is not hooked up. Why would both be on the carb?

I think the car originally was not a electric choke, it was added to the old housing. What part is not hooked up?

As said, someone added an electric choke coil to a carb that originally had a hot air choke coil. So cap off the port and connect the wire to a switched 12 Volt power source. Joe P has a detailed write up on wiring the electric choke that can be found in a simple search.
