330 to 350 swap NEED ADVICE.

I have a 1965 cutlass f-85 and I have swapped my 330 for a 77-79 Olds 350. I am having an issue with pullies. My alternator pully is currently ligned up with the rear slot on the crank and water pump pully. My power steering pully is way too far back to line up with anything. I am using the power steering bracket off of the 330. Do I need one for a 350? I thought the alt. belt went on the front slot (closest to rad) of the crank pully and the power steering belt went on the rear slot. Advice would be well appreciated.

Thanks.

You will have to use all of one or the other.
All the 330 brackets, pullies, steering and water pump

Or all the 350 stuff.

They should swap right over.

Mixing and matching probably won't work unless you mess with ordering different water pump lengths.

I agree with Jeremy, you may also need to swap over the power steering pump to a 350 one or use the 330 pullys with the 330 pump. There were a number of different pullys and using a complete set from one engine is the safe way to make your fan belts last!

Olds used water pumps with three different lengths. The pulleys and accessory brackets are sized to match. You must use the pulleys, brackets, and pump as a set. Otherwise you risk misalignment problems.
