307 coolant loss?

I don't know exaclty what is happening, but I'll fill my overflow bottle and it will empty after a few days?

The temp is also going sky high, but the car still runs fine. It does drop back down to 195* but after filling the overflow it stayed at 180*

I have a new thermo at home but it's a 180* not a 195* which the car has right now. Guys at work say that it's the rad cap is the wrong PSI rating. The car does have a Be Cool rad, but the stock one did the same thing

Any ideas, I'm

It certainly could be the radiator cap rating...or just that it's getting old. The temp spikes make me wonder about the head gasket, too. And while I'm at it, I'll throw in a vote for freeze plugs leaking.

There is no coolant in the antifreeze and I'm not leaving a trail of white smoke. There is less steam from the exhaust than the 2007 Jetta rental car we have right now with 800 miles

Try a 50/50 mix of antifreeze (it raises the boiling point). You might not see white smoke...water vapor only appears with a temperature differential and it would be in the heated exhaust stream.
I'll stick with my suggestions.

I want to flush out the coolant anyway. I think I put too much water in the bottles when I mixed it
