1972 Olds 350 Holley Street Dominator Intake - Brackets

I am trying to adjust brackets with street dominator intake on olds 350. Ac and alternator brackets are about 1/4-1/2 inch off. I think because manifold is higher then original.
any option other the reaming open holes to adjust?
Thanks

This is a common problem. The boss on the intake is too tall, because that intake has taller runners. Your options are to delete the A/C, machine the cast bracket, or go to an aftermarket bracket and compressor. I've got a similar cast bracket that someone machined for clearance, and obviously now it's incorrect for the stock intake.

almost fits

I’m close everything bolts up and the bolt on manifold is off 3/4 of the hole diameter. I may leave it without bolt to manifold. It is bolted downright with three bolts to block in front and to head stud. How much support can one short bolt to aluminum block provide?

A lot. That bolt reacts side-to-side vibration. Without it, expect to crack the bracket where it bolts to the stud on the head.
