O.k if I understand this right that motor in the video made 400/409 with Edelbrock heads, a Victor, a big Holley and a solid roller?

Quite frankly that sucks.

This in my 1970 Cutlass W-31 4-speed. Stock W-31 engine, cam, & exhaust. A bit blurry but the sound is decent.

I know it's a small block...I'm just kidding with you. But you know, with as many cubes it could be posted in the Big Block sound thread also lol!

Cool.. I thought i recognized the rocks behind the staging lanes. I was just down there about a month ago to watch my buddy Sean race his Dart.. nice track. You gonna be there for the Wally race? I'd love to see your car run.

First off, you have a nice looking car! We probably will only race one more time this year and that will be at Cedar Falls Sept 29-30. When is their Wally race?

Thanks for the compliments on the car.. that pic was taken the day we brought it home. It's in primer now waiting for paint and the new motor. It looks like the Wally race will be the 23rd of this month. We are planning on heading down to watch. It's a nice get away from the daily grind.

This motor is going in my newly acquired '70 442 until I can get my act together and have my 455 built. The last 5-7 seconds will make you cringe, sorry. I gotta work on my cooling.

Here is another 'let's go for a ride' video. This time I had two camera's rolling and I spliced them together. I sped up the super boring 50kph in a 70kph zones. This is a beautiful drive that shows off some of the coastline of Nova Scotia. Set back, click the 720p resolution, turn it up and enjoy. Music is by Rick White's bands Elevator To Hell, Elevator Through and Elevator. Great driving tunes.

Good suggestion Shane. Sounds much better from the back. Especially with a cold start up before it's fully warmed up at the lower RPM. Actually a little lope with the small 204/214 cam. Once it's warmed up and the idle is up a little it smooths out if I'm being honest.

Good luck with your headers. I'm real happy with how mine turned out an installed.

There is no secret ingredient. Just good machine work, attention to detail, high compression, good flat tappet cam, little head work, and a good engine builder.
And Steve that is correct it is a 360 C.U.I. And the max torque occurred at 4,200 RPM.

whats the next step i should take after exhaust? will an rpm and quadrajet give me a little more umph? Instead of going pertronix should I just buy a new set of points and reset dwell and timing? suggestions?

been messing with my dad's car which has my old olds 350 in it. it ran high 13's in my 72 and it makes this boat scoot pretty good for a car with a 2.xx rear end gear.
