1966 Small Block heads with no number on them

Hey I have to ask has anyone else seen a set of 1966 330 small block heads without the #3 cast into them? I have a set off my 1966 F85 Deluxe. It's the original 310hp 4bbl engine.

This is off another 1966 310hp 330.

Is there a number cast above the center exhaust ports. Should be three numbers on one side of the bolt hole and three on the other.

Look at the pic you will notice those are not there either. They are under the valve cover between 2 valve springs.

A warranty replacement head? Any noticeable grind marks?

No grind marks at all. Sequence number matches the POP card.

It's not hard to grind off the raised number and then quickly hit the cast iron with a sand blaster to mask the grind marks. I have a set of J heads that someone did that to.
