Try turning off javascript for this site if you cannot install adblock. It will prevent the spawning of the most annoying ads but leave some still pics or text ads.

I use a Mac, and I have AdBlockPlus installed on most of my browsers.

I don't use an iPad (don't like the bogus "operating system" for one thing), but I believe that other IOS browsers, like Chrome or FireFox, accept extensions.
